Art is the creative force behind Art Rogers Designs. From the first sketch and pattern to the final expressive details, each sculpture begins with his imagination and is individually handcrafted in his studio.
Known for his whimsical approach to textile and mixed-media sculpture, Art combines distinctive fabrics, hand-painted glass eyes, sculpted elements, found objects, and unexpected materials to create one-of-a-kind personalities. His signature hooded eyes and playful interpretation of animals, birds, and fantastical creatures give his work its unmistakable Art Rogers Designs character.
Art especially enjoys the process of turning an idea—and sometimes an unusual fabric, vintage object, or found treasure—into something completely unexpected. No two sculptures are exactly alike, and that sense of discovery continues to inspire his work after nearly three decades of creating.
Ray Bailey | Business Manager
Ray manages the business side of Art Rogers Designs, helping ensure that Art can remain focused on creating. From working with collectors and processing adoptions to coordinating shows, shipping sculptures, maintaining the website and social media, and handling the many details behind the scenes, Ray keeps the business moving forward.
He also collaborates closely with Art on the presentation and storytelling surrounding each sculpture—including photography, descriptions, Certificates of Authenticity, show preparation, and the many finishing details involved in bringing Art’s creations to collectors.
A U.S. Air Force veteran, Ray retired from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs after more than 35 years of federal service, including leadership as a VA Director. He now brings that organizational and management experience to Art Rogers Designs—with considerably more fabric, feathers, mohair, and whimsical creatures involved.
